Enviro Stands for Kerala
In late July 2018, severe flooding affected the state of Kerala rendering as many as 2, 80,679 people homeless. While the death tolls hit a massive 445, fifteen people went missing within a fortnight, calling for high alert in the surrounding proximities.
While 1/6th of Kerala’s population has directly been affected by floods, this has also reportedly been the worst flooding in Kerala in over a 100 years.
This tattered situation in God’s own country needed dire help. Even now, when the media is raging about helping Kerala, Enviro — Facilities management by Vatika stood well determined to deal with the percussions of the calamity alone.
Enviro joined hands with Goonj — A nonprofit organization in India, and decided to set up a plan against helping Kerala, by holding a massive donation drive for food, toiletries and clothing items.

The target was to establish a donation set up at all Vatika properties, given the presence of numerous residents and employees over there. The way forward was the ‘call to donate’ for the flood affected victims.
Starting from the Vatika Triangle-Gurgaon to Vatika Business Park-Gurgaon and Vatika City — Gurgaon to Vatika City Point-Gurgaon and Hyde Park — Noida. Every location was covered with the donation set up, clearly defining each article box. Enviro’s team also delivered a precise tutorial over the activity to the responsible delegates at every location, in coordination with the other venues.

It wasn’t long after the effort, when calls started to blow up the team’s phones to immediately place more cartons at the respective vicinities; since everyone was enthusiastically contributing to the help requested.
Not just that, the unexpected help also came from the visitors at these places, who added to the purpose with their valuable contributions.
With the whole nation standing in support of Kerala, how could the Vatikans stay behind?
The response was massive in only 7 days, given Enviro India’s vision that fostered the entire happening. The figures went to the tune of:
1. Clothes-:165 kgs (Shirts, t-shirts, Pants, Women clothing, Kids Clothing)
2. Dry Rations: Flour (70kgs), Pulses (10kg), Biscuits: 75 packets, Ready to eat noodles: 89 packets.
3. Other necessary items: Sanitary napkins(92 packets), 115 Soaps, 70 Toothbrushes, 39 Toothpaste tubes and 42 pair Shoes
At Vatika,’ stand for Kerala’ stood with full faith in everyone’s heart. And not just that, even the security men were seen offering help in full force while diligently sparing time with their extended efforts.

While Goonj is happy to segregate the damaged material (if any), and ship the cartons to Kerala, the Vatika Group hopes for the victims’ safety and well being. We also Thank Enviro — Integrated Facilities management by Vatika for their speedy efforts and the intention to extend help, following which, every endeavor at Vatika found virtuosity in their purpose.
