MDF vs HDF: How They’re Different and What They’re Good For

--

MDF and HDF (medium-density fiberboard and high-density fiberboard, respectively) are two of the most used woodworking materials of days. They’re both made by fusing wood fibre and glue under extreme pressure and heat, and they’re a good substitute for real wood. They are environmentally sustainable due to the recycled nature of their manufacture, and the pressure utilised to build them makes them extremely robust. However, they have radically different price tags, with HDF being significantly more expensive than its less dense sister.
