I have no (research) evidence for what I’m about to write, but I think more students than we might imagine process words via images as I do. I tell my friends that if I shake my head in agreement as they talk, it doesn’t mean they’re repeating themselves, nor even convincing me. Instead, I’m just making movies as I listen. (Usually Woody Allen-like movies if I were to get specific.)
