Step 1 Disassemble the phone
Use the disassembly tool to open the mobile phone and take out the dot matrix projector, find out the flex connected to the dot matrix projector and insert it into the programmer, start to enter the face ID test, and find the fault.
Step 2 Connect phone
Connecting the programmer to the phone using a lightning cable is a very important step and requires attention to a lot of details. Click “Trust” and it will show connected. Start to back up the data of the original sensor. After the backup is complete, unplug the mobile phone and the dot matrix projector, then you can reset it, and then reinsert it, showing that the data download is successful.
Step 3 Remove glue
Fix the dot matrix projector with a Repair Fixture, remove the glue on it, use a heating soldering station to soften the adhesive and clean it with a flat blade, taking care not to damage the camera.Use a little higher temperature to take out the dot protector Flex out and bend outwards,the lens is still there.
Step 4 IC chip replacement
Removing this IC and this capped little mosfet thing cleared the whole thing. Then replace the whole area with a new IC, one thing to be careful not to damage these little wires. Next using 250° to remove the underfill around all these components.
Step 5 Test normal
Add some flux, use ordinary leaded 183° to solder the new IC chip, no need to clean it after soldering.Insert the flex into the programmer again, and check that everything is normal.
