The Surprising Answer To “Were There Black Vikings?”

Amazon may not have created a great show with The Rings of Power but they did create some great dinner conversations about how Hollywood and corporate wokeness work about as well together as shaving your cat with a lawnmower.

It’s the kind of fun family time that would probably lead to a gigantic schism in American families but which is absolutely normal and encouraged in Israel and, I’m guessing, the rest of the world.

What’s my position you ask? I don’t mind having a black Ariel or black elves (aren’t I amazing? Shower me with your praise fellow woke warriors!), even though they’re clearly just meant to bait fans, turn even good faith questions into RACIST BIGOTS, and use that to avoid any criticism by just saying “its all the racists’ faults” while implicitly threatening the critics.

Plus, they’re all mythical creatures, so who cares?

But what about Vikings Valhalla? A dramatic story based on historical events. Shouldn’t the people there reflect the people who actually lived during the era?

See where I’m going with this?
