Maybe that was not clear on the guide, you don’t need an external docker-registry to follow the tutorial, minikube command starts an internal registry without auth, simply don’t change the example.com prefix of the image.

Of course for a real scenario you need the docker-registry secret and git-secret for private repos.

I may do a followup with these and other enhancements (e.g. github status, slack notification)
