You may have noticed some new faces on DineCasa in the last few weeks. We’re proud of the Chefs that we’ve recruited thus far and can’t wait to introduce to you our featured Chef of the Month: Brenden Johnstone.

Brenden Johnstone, our Featured Chef of the Month

Over the last 6 years, Brenden has cooked and worked alongside some of the biggest names in Canada’s culinary roster including Executive Chef and TV personality Georges Laurier, Sheraton Ottawa Executive Chef Frédéric Filliodeau and celebrity chef and TV personality Kathy Smart. He has been working and training with former Cordon Bleu senior director Chef Sandra MacInnis since 2010.

He has cooked for Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Ministers Brad Duguid and Michael Coteau, former Ontario Premier Bob Rae, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and some of Ottawa’s biggest corporate and political personalities.

In May 2015, Brenden joined the team in the kitchen at OCCO Kitchen, where he is working towards his Red Seal Certification under Chef Steele’s mentorship.

For your next dinner party, be sure to book one of Brenden’s menu listings here including a 3-Course table d’hôte Surf Dinner for $40 per person and 8-Course table d’hôte Tenderloin Medallion Dinner for $60 per person (cost of food included).
