When you use TweetFull, you may run into your Twitter account getting disconnected or locked at times.

This is not a big deal. It is actually good when that happens. It means Twitter cares for you…awwww.

Twitter wants to make sure your account is secured. When they see a computer at a previously unknown location trying to take an action on your account they block it.

The idea is that if you were taking that action yourself from a new computer, you will be able to unlock your account right away.

They will thus know this new location of your computer and when it tries to take an action next time it will not create an issue.

Is Reconnection/Lock a cause or concern?

Absolutely not. An account getting locked is a security feature of Twitter and not a cause of concern. Twitter may lock your account multiple times, but that does not mean your account is in trouble.

Twitter sends an email when they lock your account. If you read that email you will see that they saw a new application taking actions on your account and they were not sure if you authorized it.

You have nothing to worry about locks. Just unlock your account, reconnect it on TweetFull and you are good to go.

How to stop disconnections

If your account is getting disconnected every now and then here are a few things you can do

Make sure you are not taking a lot of actions. Depending on your account, you might want to reduce the number of Likes, ReTweet and Follows you make.

If your account is new, we recommend not following more than 20 people a day. You should not be making more than 40 likes a day either. You should not be ReTweeting more than 5 Tweets.

If your account is established, you can go for higher limits. But, if your account keeps disconnecting it is a good idea to go to a lower number and then keeps increasing it from there.

You can also email us at support@tweetfull.com to put you at a slow growth speed. With our slow growth speed algorithm, we put you on a slow start and gradually increase it every day until you hit your plan limits.

We have seen that ReTweeting is mostly the primary culprit. If you are not Tweeting a lot of Tweets, it is better to stay away from ReTweets.

We hope that these tips will help you stop frequent locking of your accounts. If you need any other help, we are just an email away. Happy Tweeting!
