Yeah, so that’s the core difference: GraphQL is just a language (and ok, a backing spec as well), so you either adopt it or not. There is no such a thing as saying “ah, but this is not really GraphQLful”.

Of course, this unopinionated take on things has its downsides and one can speak of good and bad practices in GraphQL, which open subjective debates just like RESTfulness…
