Backlogs and chewing through it
This year, with the launch of several 30gb+ games,i thought i should finish of try some of the installed games on my steam library that occupied so much space. below, some summaries on how i felt about them:

Genuinely the worst way to begin the whole process. it’s a game that only needed to be at max 10h, but was stretched to the most insufferable 25h of my gaming life. became increasingly repetitive, both in a gameplay sense and plot wise.

Despised it playing solo, but when the game finally went on sale, i convinced a friend to play with me. we both had the time of our lives, specially with the silliness that was the Jack campaign. If you have a friend and a modicum of interest in RE, play it.

While it got a bit repetitive towards the end, or would i say, easy, the story is so out there and bizarre, specially with amazing VA that i was enthralled.

Disclaimer: i’ve never finished a single FF before XV, lol
While i can agree that it’s a necessity to watch movie/anime/etc to fully understand the plot, the chemistry between the boys is one of the most wholesome experiences i ever had in games. the gameplay, while on the easy side, wasn’t bad either.

Fun gameplay loop, but Nioh thinks that’s enough for 50h+. Spoiler: it isn't. the last third of the game specially completely disrespects the player’s time, asking them to face 4 bosses again just because.

After Ezio, Bayek is easily the best main character in the series. great changes to gameplay, beautiful word to explore, but had a bit of padding, specially while trying to lock main missions behind level. do that with side quest, not the main quest.

Loved my time with it. characters were really well developed, war was given the adequate seriousness to it, and gameplay was really solid. Really simple to grasp, with fun possibilities to utterly destroy your enemies.

Another somewhat of a dud. World felt incredibly empty, traversal was awful, and combat, while interesting, felt way too simple. Grigori was an awful boss fight.

Solid sub 15h experience. interesting enough campaign, even if riddled with clichés, and gameplay is fun enough. It does look good too.

PLAY THIS GAME! IT’S INCREDIBLE. COMBAT IS RATHER A MESS, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS GAME IS FUCKING AMAZING! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Excellent gameplay, which is sadly enveloped in one of the worst scripts. It does has a really good engine, which i wished more used.

Somewhat of a reverse of Overgrowth: INSANE plot, but with a rather repetitive gameplay loop. was worth what i paid for it, so it’s fine.

Adored it. Arkane is unparalleled in the immersive FPS genre(unless it’s called Prey). SO MANY OPTIONS, SUCH A FASCINATING UNIVERSE. One of the best DLC’s ever too.

Everything the first game was gameplay wise, but even better, with one of the best levels ever. Delilah was an awful villain tho. felt underdeveloped.

Easily the worst Arkane game. barely gives the player any options, actively punishes the player for trying to express themselves gameplay wise, incredibly unsatisfactory gunplay, and an even worse traversal system, and if that wasn’t enough, Nightmares make the last fifth of the game a chore.

Really touching and beautiful game. just play it.

HIDETAKA SUEHIRO JUST NEEDS AN INFINITE BUDGET. I’M ONE WITH THE SILLINESS AND THE SILLINESS IS ME.

Fun gameplay, and great one liners as ever, but goes a bit longer than i wanted to. Not really sure the modifications added anything to the game besides busy work.

Fantastic game, albeit a bit daunting at first. The last few stages also had a ridiculous difficulty curve, compared to the rest of the game.

One of the most overrated couple of games i had the chance to play. Terrible gunplay, finnicky stealth, and Dark Athena has an awful villain and story. Do not recommend them at all, not understand why they’re so revered.
