On Friday, SAG-AFTRA released a statement regarding the sexually explicit AI-generated images featuring Taylor Swift, which sparked significant backlash online earlier in the week. Concurrently, the White House also addressed the issue with a statement of its own.
The actor’s union denounced the deepfake images as “disturbing, damaging, and profoundly troubling.” These images depicted the singer in suggestive poses, often clad in Kansas City Chiefs merchandise and depicted amidst Chiefs fans, seemingly alluding to her association with Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.
