( I come back from school, wash my hands and legs and come to eat at the table.)

Mother: How was your exam today?

Me: It was good. I got 76 out of 80.

Mother: Who got the highest?

Me: Anish got the highest. He got 76.5 out of 80.

Mother: It’s fine he got the highest in this exam. But next time I want you to get more than him. By the way you are always reading the storybooks given by the school. I never see you reading a text book. Still you don’t get highest in your class. You think I will allow this?

Me: He just got half marks more than me. Still you tell me to get more than him. And after some days I have the writing contest. So I have to concentrate more on writing than on studies.

( In the mean time my brother comes down from the first floor.)

Brother: How is it going to help you? Any way there are people like Aritra and Soukarja. How will you beat them? So I say better prepare for the coming exam. Father has filled a form for Big Bang and you are giving it.

Me: What exam? What Big Bang? Why did not father take my opinion before filling the form?

Brother: Why does father need your opinion? I gave the Big Bang exam and got admitted in FITJEE. Be grateful that you are not being admitted in FITJEE.

Me: So as you said I am giving the exam, you will also say the I have to get more than Riju in the exam.

( my brother was going to say something)

Mother( interrupting him): Exactly. He is much better than you in swimming. You have to prove yourself by getting a higher marks than you in the exam.

Me( with a scornful face): Could I ask what is the connection between swimming and the exam.

Mother( suspiciously): Are you trying to mock me?

Me: See you don’t even know how a person talks when a person when he/she tries to mock somebody. Never mind, leave that. Now answer my question.

Mother: Actually, there is no connection between them. It’s just a type of revenge that you should be willing to take.

Me: Then how can you be comparing Riju being better than me in swimming and me getting higher marks than him in the exam. And what higher marks, when I am not going to give the exam.

Brother: I understood mother. The school is trying to inject this all this nonsense in his head. Better take him out before they can brainwash him completely.

( I become very excited and start stammering)

Me: What? ccchange mmmy school? Are you ccrazy? This is the oonly solution you have when I try to give an argument.

( I look at the time and sees it is 5:30. Then I quickly finish my food and storm out of the house to go to play.)
