In Japan, the country that executed the death penalty in 2018 was eighth in twentieth countries. The countries that abolished the death penalty are 142 countries in 193 countries. Therefore, Japan is minority on the death penalty in the world. And the death penalty cost much taxes to execute. It is more expensive than the prison sentence. While proponents say the death penalty is the biggest atonement for families of victims, the penalty should be abolished for 3 reasons: deterrence, misjudgments and rehabilitations.
