There are quite a few new rides, attractions, and transit projects in place !
After the D23 convention, the company confirmed many major updates for Walt Disney World by 2021. Two major new additions have been confirmed for Magic Kingdom.
The first new addition is a new coaster, specifically the Tron coaster from Shanghai Disneyland, which will be put in tomorrow land near space mountain. The motor bike coaster provides a high -speed (up to 60mph) outdoor thrill with glowing special effects and is covered by an LED translucent roof. This attraction is planned to open by Walt Disney Worlds 50th anniversary in 2021.
The second new addition to the Magic Kingdom lies off of the streets of Main Street, where a new indoor performance theater is being constructed. It is a new theater inspired by Kansas City’s Willis Wood Wood Theater in the 1920’s. This theater will bring a new venue for world-class entertainment to the world’s largest theme park. Very little has been revealed about the type of shows this theater will host.
New Transit Systems (Minnie Van / Disney Skyliner)
Two new transit projects were announced for WDW at D23. The first one is the new “Minnie Van” which is a Uber like system where park goers can get a ride from point to point across Disney World, in a mini van, with an up charge of course.
The second new transit system is one that has been rumored for some time, the gondola system. This system will link Epcot, Pop Century, Art of animation , Caribbean Beach , and Hollywood Studios, and will be called the Disney Skyliner. Each of the gondalas can fit 4 to 6 guests. You can see construction for this transport system already at Epcots International Gateway entrance.

Epcots Mission Space
The green side of mission space will be getting some new refurbishments including a new video where you are being taken around the world instead of flying to Mars. It will still be a Space simulator attraction. The orange side of the attraction will continue to play the same simulation to Mars.
Star Wars Themed Land
This land won’t open until 2019, in both Disney Land and Disney World in Florida. This land is a never before seen planet in Star Wars. There will be two main attractions. On one of the attractions guests can fly the Millennium Falcon on a secret mission. Another ride will take guests into battle between the Resistance and the First Order.

There will be meals in the ‘cantina’ at the hotel, and the rooms will only be available for two night stays (the duration of the interactive story experience). Costs for this hotel may range from $900 to $1000 per person and will include all meals as well as admission to the parks.
Toy Story Land
This land is planned to be available in 2018, where guests will be shrunk to the size of toys to explore the world of Andy’s backyard with your favorite Toy Story Characters. This land will feature two new themed attractions. The Slinky Dog Dash will be a coaster where you will make different turns and drops that Andy has created. The second ride will be the Alien Swirling Saucers which will be a toy play set from Pizza Planet. Aliens fly around in their toy flying saucers while “The Claw” tries to capture the toy vehicle.
The Great Mickey Ride
The Great Mickey Ride will be the first “real” ride that Mickey and Minnie Mouse will get. This will be the first time Mickey is the star in his own ride along with Minnie.
