My Top 3 Favorite Things To Do at Disneyland

“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” — Walt Disney. Walt Disney opened Disneyland with hopes that people of all ages can come in and let their imagination run free. Here are some of my favorite things to enjoy while I’m at the parks!

1. Attractions: The rides at Disneyland & California Adventure are a crucial part of any Disney trip! Whether it’s small rides or roller coasters, rides seek a different kind of thrill in me! If you are an old Disney goer like me, some of these rides might bring back nostalgia from when you were a kid. A lot of the rides are themed after Disney characters and some are meant more for kids than adults. Depending on who you go with, you can enjoy thrill rides, kids rides, or fun rides where you can interact with one another like Toy Story Mania in California Adventure. Tip: Download the Disneyland app to check out wait times and the description of the rides. Some of my favorites include Peter Pan, The Incredicoaster, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

2. Food: Disney is known for their seasonal food items and let’s face it, who doesn’t love food? Any time Disney has a special event going on, like the opening of Pixar Fest, they surround the parks with snacks and special themed food connected to the event. During the Holidays, Disney is known to take out Food Guides that offers seasonal food items to purchase with a description of the items, pictures, as well as where to purchase them. Make sure to try some of these limited items when you are at the parks as they are always coming out with new treats! They also have classics as well, like Funnel Cakes, Churros, and Beignets!

3. Characters: Disneyland would not be the same without its classic characters walking around the park enjoying a normal day at the parks. One of my favorite memories as a kid was being able to meet characters, get pictures, and get their autographs. Now that I am older I have an appreciation for the magic the cast members and character performers bring to the parks. There is something special about walking into the parks and seeing your favorite characters roaming freely! If you are visiting Disneyland a cool tip is that characters are often seen in front of the main street as well as around both parks with smaller lines than at their actual meet & greet spots. Another cool way of interacting with characters and seeing a lot of them in one place would be to go and enjoy a show or a parade! Tip: Download the Disneyland app to check out specific times and locations to meet your favorite characters. You can also check out the time and locations for any special shows and parades going on that day.
