Blog Post Week 6

This week, I became incredibly sick, enough to keep me bed ridden for four days, including missing my classes for that week, unfortunately, my computer is in the front room, and my bedroom all the way on the other side of the house, so it meant no work.

However, i did feel better over the weekend so I worked hard to catch up to what I had missed.

Taking a break from the tiles, i wanted to see how the toilet would look, so I created the basic bowl, i had a little trouble with the top of the toilet, as it looked very rough, the bottom of the toilet looked smooth, so that wasn’t going to look good. I have tried many different options, and google, but i cant seem to find the solution to this problem, however this week I will be asking my lecturer both Why it’s happening and how to fix it.

After I finished with the toilet bowl, i had to create the flusher (the big block that allows you to flush the toilet) however, being victorian, it is mounted above the toilet on the wall rather than on the toilet itself, which meant i had to model a stand for it to sit on, a long flusher on a chain, and some nails.

So I did that, much quicker than I thought it would take, I pulled everything into the final scene and then realized something, it doesn't look scary, or broken so I got to work in fixing that. First, i pulled off the toilet seat and lid and had them scattered randomly on the floor and propped up accordingly, then I made one of the stands nails fall out, and thought the gravity would affect it and the stand would swing down, then I thought that if nothing has propped the back of the toilet on one side, it would swing too, so i pulled it off the wall but made sure to keep it attached via the nail, then i bent the pipe to accommodate the chaos.

I will be showing my team this broken bathroom this week, however if they are not a fan of the ripped off the wall toilet, I have a backup file where everything is still in order.
