Snejana Onopka is a Ukrainian supermodel who is best known for walking the ramp for several brands. She was born on 15 December 1986 in Severodonetsk, Ukraine SSR, Soviet Union. She moved to Kyiv in 2001 and was spotted by a foreign scout at the age of 15.
Her career
Snejana Onopka began her career as a model in 2005 when she was photographed by Steven Meisel for the Prada and Dolce & Gabbana fall ad campaigns. She then appeared on two covers of Italian Vogue and became one of the most sought-after models in the industry. Onopka debuted on the runway by closing Marc by Marc Jacobs show in New York and opening the Dolce & Gabbana and Karl Lagerfeld shows in Milan, in Sep 2005. She quickly became a favorite of designers such as Chanel, Gucci, Anna Sui, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Isabel Marant. She has walked for them in various fashion weeks and shows around the world. Onopka has appeared on the cover of i-D, Numéro, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Allure Russia, Elle Ukraine, Glamour Russia and the Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and French editions of Vogue. She has also starred in editorials for Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany, W, V Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, and many more.
