This is just another nail is the OKC coffin. It seemed to have started a few years back when it was purchased by a larger commercial online-dating site. It seems like over time they are deliberately trying to shrink OKC as it is (was ?) a free service (and a great one at that) against the many paid online-dating sites.

It’s a shame as the when I first joined the calibre of members was fantastic, the openness and freedom of expression was liberating including ideas and sexuality — far more than the more “stitched up” mainstream sites and without the more sleazy aspects of certain other sites. I have made quite a few on-line buddies from here and engaged with some truly impressive people.

Nowadays — it’s little more than just another anonymous “meet market” where you need you play the numbers game. Is it really surprising that it seems the number of members has fallen off a cliff ??
