To answer your question, I just think name calling is unproductive, disrespectful, and dishonorable to all on the giving and receiving side. Just as it is important to win with dignity, it is also important to lose with honor. And IMO continuing to defend such behavior on EITHER side will only make it worse and more polarizing. What will that do?

I actually hold rather conservative views on immigration and have issues with DACA (and birthright citizenship, as the 14th amendment was more about righting a wrong but is now horribly misused). But I don’t think the unnecessary (and often hypocritical) insults hurled back and forth across the political aisle started there.
