This marks the completion of my third series of #30daysofwarnings, warning signs of domestic abuse, this one focused on the impact of emotional abuse on victims. I tell these stories from my own experience — a female survivor of domestic violence who brought her son up from birth in a home filled with tension and abuse.

The intent is that these are applicable to anyone in any situation, but that they are stronger before I dull them by sanitizing the references to sexes — so please, modify them in your mind to fit your situation. Domestic violence knows know boundaries of sexes, and the impact is just as devastating whether it comes from a man or woman.
