Canadian Pole Vaulter Shawn Barber was a Canadian track and field athlete who specialized in the pole vault. He passed away at the age of 29 leaving his parents behind of his death. He won the gold medal at the 2015 Beijing World Championships in Men’s athletics Pole Vault event. He won the silver medal at the 2018 Gold Coast and a bronze medal at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
