Green Card and permanent residency requirements in the USA

A person who has been granted permission to immigrate, is authorized or qualified to receive a visa based on their admissibility or hardship, and is therefore legally allowed to reside in this country for an unlimited amount of time is referred to as having a “green card” in immigration law. One who holds a green card is referred to as one.

Most often, when we use the terms “immigrant” or “foreigner,” we mean someone who entered this country legally from another. To demonstrate their eligibility to reside and work in the United States, all residents are given green cards by the (USCIS).

You need a current U.S. green card if you are a permanent resident. A green card, also known as a Permanent Resident Card, is a form of identification that a person is a U.S. resident.

How Can I Move to the United States Permanently?
There are several ways to become a permanent resident. You must fit into one of the following categories in order to apply for a green card.

Family Green card
You can apply for legal resident status in the US if you are a relative of an American citizen. This group consists of kin, spouses, widows, and people who have been harmed by a citizen of the United States.

Work-related green card
If you are an immigrant worker with exceptional skills in science, art, education, business, or athletics, or if you are a doctor who has agreed to work full-time in clinical practice for a set period of time, you may qualify for this category.
