World’s First Phone|Gimbal Mechanism|Vivo X50 Pro

Vivo is the company that introduced the first Fingerprint sensor capable device in the smartphone market, the first to bring a complete full-screen phone and the first to bring the motorized pop-up selfie camera.

VIVO announced the X50 Pro first on 2nd June globally. In India, Vivo launch two devices in their X50 series:- X50 and X50 Pro.

Vivo started pre-booking for these devices from the 16th of July. And will be on sale from the 24th of July, via both the offline and online market.

It's very surprising to me when I saw the prices.

The X50 will cost you Rs.34,990/- and X50 Pro variant cost you Rs.49,990/-

Is Vivo X50 Pro is justified itself to fall in Rs 50,000/- price range?

Highlights of X50 Pro:-

  • 6.56" Super amoled punch-hole display
  • 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz sampling response rate
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G octa-core processor
  • 33W Flash charging 2.0
  • 4315mAh battery
  • Funtouch v10.5 with Android 10

Camera:-

For selfies, Vivo fitted a single 32MP shooter in a punch-hole display.

On the back of the device, you will get a Quad-camera setup of

  • 48MP(Gimbal stabilization camera)
  • 13MP Depth camera (Bokeh mode)
  • 8MP super-wide-angle with 120° field of view
  • 8MP telescopic lens that enables 60X hybrid zoom.

The 48MP shooter is a Sony IMX598 primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture with customized gimbal stabilization features. This feature helps the user to record video or take stunning photos with more stability. Normally we see two types of stabilization use by smartphone companies Optical and Electronical Image stabilization(OIS and EIS), but in this scenario, the camera doesn't just shift around left or right it literally rotates and has the ability to stabilize around 3X more than a normal OIS system.

The rest of the cameras are here pretty normal stuff and quite serviceable the 13MP is the depth camera for bokeh mode with an f/2.48 aperture, 8MP super-wide-angle lens gives you 120° field of view with an f/2.2 in addition with an 8MP telescopic zoom lens module which delivers 60X hybrid zoom.

Other camera features are:-

  • Astro mode
  • Pro sports mode
  • Motion auto-focus tracking
  • Instant Vlog mode
  • Super night and super Moon mode.

Display:-

This time Vivo fitted an enormous 6.56" Samsung made Super-Amoled full HD+ 3D curved punch-hole display. This display has a 90Hz refresh rate with a 180Hz sampling response rate, HDR 10+ certified display. The display also feature an under-display fingerprint scanner for safe unlocking.

Battery:-

  • X50 Pro packed with a 4315mAh battery which can be charged with a 33W Vivo Flash Charging system version 2.0.

Connectivity:-

  • wifi v6
  • 5G dual nano sim
  • Bluetooth v5.1
  • OTG supported
  • GPS supported.

Now its time for some cons:-

  • High price- from my point of view, Vivo could have gone for the Qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipset rather than a mid-ranger 765g 5G chipset (both chipsets supports 5G networks). You can get more options in Rs.50,000/- price range with more features.
  • no IP rating (water and dust resistant)
  • Vivo uses USF2 and LPDDR4 instead of USF3 and LPDDR5, which kind of upsetting the consumer while considering this price point.

So, guys, that's it from my side comment below you thoughts and suggestion.
