UPSC Pathshala Review
This is my personal experience of using UPSC Pathshala videos and their course package.
To be clear:
In my opinion, the coaching institute plays an important role but in the end, it's your dedication and preparation which helps you to crack the exams.
As there are so many coaching centers and online classes out there that it becomes difficult to choose the right institute for you. So writing a review about the course I took may help someone who is considering to choose UPSC pathshala as their online coaching institute.
The biggest advantage of preparing for UPSC IAS exams using UPSC Pathshala is that you don’t have to pay a big sum of money asked by various coaching classes and at the same time you get all the things that you’ll get from other coaching institutes.
Let’s start with the course.
Course: Every UPSC aspirant is not in the same situation. Some might be starting their preparation for scratch, some might have just 1-year left and some might just want to give practice test paper.
So why to pay the same amount of money. UPSC Pathshala provides various course packaged designed for different situations. Some of these are..
UPSC Foundation Course (for starters)
Prelims Test Series — 2020(who just want to practice prelims test papers)
Sociology and Geography (Separately)(who just want to prepare one particular subject.)

This can be very helpful for those students who just want to get coaching on a particular section and doesn’t want to spend money on the whole course.
Quality of Content and Study Material: In my opinion the quality of content is great. The videos lectures are made only for students who want online coaching. So if you want to get the online coaching then you’ll get the best learning experience.
Still, if you want to test their video quality check their YouTube channel. You’ll get the taste of their lecture content quality.
Money: It's important to note how much money you are spending and how much value you are getting from it. UPSC Exams is not easy to crack so if you fail to crack UPSC you’re going to lose a lot of time as well as money. So it's better to get a value for money. In the end, your preparation and dedication will help you crack the exams.
Typically a good coaching institute has fees about 1.2 - 1.5 lakh whereas UPSC Pathshala’s foundation course fess is only 60,000 INR.
