As always, the Austin Film Festival was a great time, and as always, it was a bit of a crapshoot, but that’s how festivals are. From beautifully poetic analyses of faith and culture to ham-fisted, condescending thrillers, I saw some of my favorite and least favorite films of the year. Here’s how they stack up.
