How does that protect us? It just makes Americans around the world less safe. Also, pushing people away who are trying to escape from terror only serves the terrorists’ cause. We helped to create these problems, to turn our back on them makes us look like weak cowards. We lose some of our moral high ground that makes America great. Fear will never make us great.
