Game Mode: Shuffle Puzzle
A Puzzling new way to Shuffle your Dizzy Lizzy cards! This game mode includes a Dizzy Dice variation.
Introduction
A Dizzy Lizzy puzzle that is different every time! This game mode is a little brain challenger that can be played alone, collaboratively, or competitively!
How is it played?
Shuffle Puzzle is played with half of the Dizzy Lizzy card game’s cards: 27 cards are selected to play — one variation of each card. For example: One blue head with diamonds, one blue body with diamonds, one blue tail with diamonds etc. The cards are shuffled and randomly laid in 3 rows of 9 cards. The objective is to re-shuffle these cards until you have 9 Lizzy combinations that display the same pattern and colour. But you may only shuffle the cards following these rules.
Game rules
- Two cards at a time — You may only shuffle the cards by exchanging two cards with each other at a time.
- Adjacent cards only — Only cards directly next to each other, above each other, or diagonal from each other may be exchanged.
- Only same colour or pattern — Cards may only be exchanged if they both display either the same colour or the same pattern.
Solitary, collaboratively, or competitively?
Shuffle Puzzle is ideal to challenge yourself! No game is the same, but you can try different strategies to learn to solve it faster and faster. It can also be played collaboratively — challenge your mutual understanding by taking turns without talking! Feeling more competitive? A Dizzy Lizzy Card game has two cards of each variation — two players can take on the shuffle puzzle challenge at the same time to see who solves it first!
Game variant: Dicey Shuffle Puzzle!
The Shuffle Puzzle can be combined with the Dizzy Dice as well. You prepare the puzzle as usual, but instead of shuffling all the cards back to complete the same colour + same pattern Lizzies, you throw the Dizzy Lizzy Dice and challenge yourself to bring together the three cards you’ve thrown as fast as possible! This game variation is especially fun together with another player, where both have a puzzle ready on the table, and you throw the dice to see who can get to the combination first.
