W e are in 2020, Each new generation in our work environments is a catalyst for change. Many traditions have changed, we have gone from the Baby boomer age to the Millennial age. It’s inevitable as new generations are created the new will replace the old.

In today’s Startup culture, which has been mainly influenced by Silicon Valley culture, we can see a lot of new non-traditional practices in workplaces. What used to be looked at as taboo is ok while many traditional rules no longer apply.

It’s now commonplace to call your boss by his or her first name which is perfectly acceptable while previously, it was not the case. in 1918, women still faced many forms of discrimination. Laws and societal attitudes then meant women faced barriers and prejudice throughout society and at work.

Asking someone how much money they make is high up on the list of things that most of us were raised to believe is taboo and impolite.
