People and relationships

From the collection “things that never cease to amaze me”: We use an entity-relationship model (ERM) for software design but do not consider the relationship part for our daily work life. We focus on positions, roles, job titles, responsibilities for a person but not at the more interesting question “How do tasks, information, knowledge flow from one person to the other? Is the connection good or bad?”
It is not only the
people / houses / systems,
it is also the
relationships / roads / data flows
between them that counts.
