I’m not sure I understand why a beginner can’t use this. Everything works for the novice. In the beginning, a phrase I have seen before, you learn technique and tension. A good coach would insist on this.
Remember, not everything works for everything. I once tried to train more like a speedskater and it didn’t help me at all. Training more traditionally brought me right back.
There are lots of things for beginners. Find a sound plan that emphasizes whole body lifts and mastery of the basics.
