Did 2Pac Have A Child?

Throughout his life, 2Pac often at times predicted the future within his music. He also created hundreds of songs that would never be officially released until after his passing. Of those many songs, there were several where he spoke on the topic of having children. DJ Skandalous breaks down these records and gives insight on why many people still believe that 2Pac had children.

“Letter 2 My Unborn” by 2Pac, which was recorded in 1995 and issued for release in 2001 in remix form is one of the most well known tracks that alludes to a potential child. Within the song 2Pac states;

“Dear Lord, can you hear me?
Tell me what to say
To my unborn seed in case I pass away”.

Other tracks such as “Happy Home” and “Words 2 My First Born” also touch on the same topic. On “Happy Home” 2Pac mentions a child having his eye’s and mouth as well as marrying his baba mama. Additionally another song recorded in 1993–1994 mentions the possibility of a baby actually being born. The song comes from a newly leaked clip of a secondary recording of “It Ain’t Easy”; which features all new verses and a new beat by 2Pac. In this song 2Pac raps; “I have a baby on the way, I haven’t saved a penny”.

In 1995 during 2Pac’s Death Row Days, 2Pac also penned early drafts of the “All Eyez On Me” album which featured a song on it called “Ma Babiez Mama”. Why would this be if there was not a baby? In 2003, 2Pac’s handwritten verse from this song was issued in the Resurrection book based on the movie about his life which was released that same year. In this verse he raps; “ Trying to take my baby mama on a fantasy vacation, while I’m snatching & taking, I’ll be stacking what I’m making cuz you know my kids need transportation”.

There is also a indication on the gender of 2Pac’s alleged child in liner notes in Busta Rhymes’ 1997 album When Disaster Strikes which says;

Tupac: soldier, warrior, may Allah bless your family, your daughter, her mother, your mother (Afeni Shakur).

Finally in 2016, Dailystar issued a article on the identity of a potential daughter of Tupac Shakur. The article read; “People have been sharing a photo online that is reportedly of the late rapper’s secret daughter. The picture of the young woman posing in a stripy T-shirt does bare a striking resemblance to the hip hop star who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in 1996.” Here is the picture that went viral comparing the woman to that of Tupac Shakur.
