“You know you’re on vacation right?”

Last night I accidentally slept 11 hours. That’s not really relevant, but it’s still something I’m proud of.
About a half an hour after I woke up my uncle walked past my room. A few seconds later, he came back and entered my room. He asked me, “Have you even moved in the last 24 hours?” — He made a good point.
To be honest, not really. I’ve just been sitting in bed on my Macbook for much of the last 24 hours. Yes, there is a beach 2 blocks away and a pool 20 feet away, but prototyping things in sketch and writing bad code are a lot more fun for me.
I’ve done stuff like this for fun forever. It’s not something they teach in school, so when school finally lets out I have to take advantage of my free time. Even if that means “working” on vacation.
I love this stuff. I started back in the fourth grade, took a break, and now I’m back at it. Because of school I’m used to working on weekends and after normal hours (9–5) and truth be told I have trouble leaving it for long. I always find myself coming back to it. It’s gonna be hard to not work on the weekends / vacations just because I love it so much.
I guess this really is my passion.
I’ll leave you with a quote from Claude C. Hopkins.
In after years I did the same in business. I had no working hours. When I ceased before midnight, that was a holiday for me. I often left my office at two o’clock in the morning. Sundays were my best working days, because there were no interruptions. For sixteen years after entering business I rarely had an evening or a Sunday not occupied by work.
