You’re trying to frame this debate as Wiggins vs. Love. What I’m suggesting is that with a three-plan, Cleveland could have built a lineup with Wiggins AND Love (or any other unrestricted free agent that made sense). With a long-term plan, Lebron could have enjoyed a more competitive team by year 2, with better prospects over the remainder of his career, too. You can’t tell me that switching teams ever 3–4 years to then leave them in salary cap purgatory and no draft picks won’t be a drag on Lebron’s ultimate legacy.
