Where do we start?

But your Damascene conversion to Corbynism is not the only cause of disillusionment.

a) You seem to infer that pledging your support to the Corbyn movement makes you somewhat politically inferior (not a surprising statement given your centrist stance). This isn’t a valid criticism. Ironically, the only thing this achieves is the exposing of bitterness you criticise Owen for labelling.

it is clear that you deliberately and disingenuously blur the line between what one might loosely call “sweary insults” and “abuse” in order to achieve this aim

b) Please don’t pretend as if abuse from the centre toward the left has never existed. It is insulting and quite frankly sinister when there is quite a lot of documented evidence for this, on Twitter alone. Abuse has been perpetrated towards the Left ever since Corbyn dared to give a voice to millions of the disenfranchised. I have personally seen people’s mental health deteriorate because of people like you calling them mentally unhinged. Just stop it.

Ultimately, you have decided that you want to be one of the In Crowd after all.

c) “Ultimately”, portraying yourself and your political leaning as the ‘left-behind, decent-but-trodden-upon’ minority that deserves attention serves as the perfect metaphor as to why your ideology is failing. I thank you at least for being bold enough to represent the soft-left and centre as nerd-ish.

I’m not even trying to defend Owen here, I positively dislike him as a journalist and believe he fundamentally fails in his job. Good day.
