H&R Block gives out Emerald Advances every year. I went down there last year and was approved for a loan, and never had received one before. I made only 8,500. They said you had to make at least 10000 to receive it. I also was only expecting a refund of 4507 last year and received it. I went do to the office today to try and get the Emerald Advance. I made 9819 dollars this year and are expecting a refund of 4600. I was denied this year. They told me it was due to not meeting the projected income eligibility requirements. I called the bank, they told me the same thing that the lady at the office told me. I called the 1800 number for H&R block itself, and the Representative couldn’t tell me why I got denied. But I noticed a mistake I had made. I over looked a pay stub and gave the lady the wrong one, missing almost 500 dollars worth of income. Which would bring my grand total up to 10,290 dollars. I am curious as to if, I can re apply… and if this would better my chances. Because, after all they did say you had to make at least 10,000. But it wouldn’tt make sense as to why they would approve me last year with only 8500 dollars worth of income and then turn around and denied me this year with 9819. I dont know… I dont know if I can re-apply.””

i check my score every month or so on creditkarma and it was 688 last month on the 21st, i just checked it today and it has dropped to 660. i’m 20 and have had two credit cards since I was 18 and I just got internet in my name about 2 months ago. He said that he can only save 800 dollars plus what we have to pay for his services and court costs. Ok so my creditkarma account said my score was 573. Then on equifax.com it said 590. A 17 point difference. Well now after I had a couple things removed from my report my creditkarma says 594.
