How DLT Labs™ Solved Walmart Canada’s Decade-Old Problem

Walmart Canada and DLT Labs™ proudly announced last week the very first large scale enterprise blockchain solution launched for Walmart Canada’s freight and payment network.

This announcement marks a monumental milestone for DLT Labs™, a young company that is innovating through the use of technology and a ready-to-use platform, resulting in enterprise-grade solutions.

The news is very exciting for us at DLT Labs™, as we aim to enhance ‘Freightech’ for Walmart Canada and within the logistics industry. Like any achievement, however, the road to success was not always smooth “driving”.

In this blog, I am going to provide a sneak peek behind the scenes to explain how DLT Labs™, an entrepreneurial tech company in the blockchain community, was able to resolve a huge pain point for the largest retailer in the world.

So what was the problem?

Walmart Canada works with 70 different carriers across the country, to move shipments among vendors, distribution centres, and stores. Each load consists of tracking load details, load costs, and carrier details, to name a few, as well as unknown costs, which adds up to approximately 200 data points.
