Go to your nearest LIC branch and meet the development officer (DO) with the documents mentioned above.

2. Fill up an application form and submit it to the DO.

3. Then the DO will take a brief interview of yours.

4. If the interview is successful, you will be selected for a 25-hour training. The training at the Divisional/Agency training will teach you how to communicate with a customer, to tackle rejections and turn a negative response into a positive one!

Then you have to pass the IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Exam) (IC 38) exam.

6.
After passing the exam, you will get your license. Then finally you can start working as an agent under the supervision of the DO.
