Good morning!

You are so sweet and special to check in on me. The surgery went pretty well except I had to be awake for it, which I hadn’t fully realized. They said the drug they gave me would make me forget, but I remember every detail. I kept moving — because it hurt — and they kept scolding me to hold still.

But, whatever, the nerve stimulator is implanted and they turned it on two days ago. This means the only pain I have is from the sutures themselves. Just the normal stinging.

Now, I have to be patient for 4–6 weeks before I can “be normal” and then I get to try life as a physically functioning person. It’s very emotional. I find I am sleeping a lot. Bless your heart for looking after me 🙏🏻😀
