This saved you at least that awful withdrawal.

You make a great point. I only ever took opioids prn when I had them, and didn’t stick to the every 4–6 hours. That way I would wait until the pain was intolerable before the next dose. I never ended up addicted. My pain did go under-managed for several years while they withdrew all pain killers before I showed a problem because on a questionnaire I scored high risk for addiction. But all’s forgiven now that I have a spinal implant.
