Metro Detroiters without power again: DTE says 25,000 outages throughout the region

Roughly 25,000 metro Detroiters are without power after strong winds throughout the region last night.

Outages are scattered throughout Oakland and Wayne.

DTE Energy spokesperson Ronei Shamullen says power should be restored by tomorrow morning at the latest.

“We expect to have most customers restored around 11:30 PM tonight, but there are some customers who are restored tomorrow morning.”

Shamullen says homeowners should call the DTE Energy hotline or file a report online if they’re still without power tomorrow.

She reminds residents to stay at least 20 feet away from downed power lines.
