Rejoice, the U.S. Navy Scraps Its Awful ‘Blueberry’ Uniforms
War Is Boring

It seems like the all the services are spending a crazy amount of ‘guacamole’ on their uniforms d’jour.

They want a one-camo-fits-all uniform and they

want their own service’s uniform to make a statement about their service.

Fair enough I get that. That makes sense. Viva esprit d’ corps.

And new tech-materials make for lighter stronger fabrics.

But this stuff should’ve been figured out decades ago.

Like during Vietnam. And certainly after Desert Storm!

The sailors at sea probably need some kinda nomex coveralls?

But for goodness sake make up your minds. It looks like silly spending when

F-18’s are sitting on the deck, hurting for spare parts.

Imagine if Patton was still designing uniforms in this day and age

of CAD Marpats, digi-cams and tactically colorful blueberries!

I plan on getting a pair of ‘blueberry’ trousers when they hit the surplus stores…I thought they looked cool.
