The only think I disagree with is that Agile itself is not a process or practice’s. If how ever you are talking specifically about frameworks like Scrum, then I am in 100% agreement. Ceremonies for the sake of ceremonies is not going to deliver value faster just because you have a board and call it scrum. At the end of the day, I feel really strongly that we need to stop labeling things. Focus on what the need is that you are trying to achieve. I have seen way to many exec have the wrong impression of what Agile is, and when it fails to deliver based on their expectations, Agile fails. Just be honest, if you want to reduce cost, look at applying some lean principles. If you want to deliver value faster, then maybe Agile is more appropriate… but are you willing to actually change the organisational culture, or are you you just going to Scrum but…..
