A crazy short: to reverse global warming the route is clear — kill all humans
At least one can infer this crazy idea from a research by University College London
Note: take this with a grain of salt.
One has a FOMO so one reads a lot, almost always missing the point, but at least getting the bigger picture. From today’s trove of data — came this midnight-hour article from BBC:
Colonisation of the Americas at the end of the 15th Century killed so many people, it disturbed Earth's climate. That's…www.bbc.com
“The team says the disruption that followed European settlement led to a huge swathe of abandoned agricultural land being reclaimed by fast-growing trees and other vegetation.
This pulled down enough carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere to eventually chill the planet.”
It may have been the case as well that Black Death precipitated this in Europe too — starting from 13th century and going as far as 16th century — then followed by religious warfare ensued by Counter-Reformation — but no impact was more several after colonization and forced eviction and mass murder of indigenous population, disrupting fragile connections of Incas etc.
Killing people is a great leveler too — adding to the agenda of socialist-minded politicians coming on stage: warfare is a great tool to solve the growing gap between the well-off and the poor.
