OARC 25 in Dallas
15 & 16 October 2016, Fairmont Dallas, Dallas, TX, USA
OARC 25 is nearly upon us and we’re very excited. This will be our first Workshop in Dallas and Texas; and we have a jam packed Workshop programme with time devoted to specific tracks — Measurement and Testing, DNS Testing, DNSSEC, Data Analysis, Anycast, and Security and Privacy. All of this is preceded by the AGM where three member representative seats on the Board need to be filled.
The scheduled Agenda has now been published, and the OARC 25 website gives you further details including the list of speakers and a précis of each of the presentations.
Day 1 starts at 9am when you can pick up your pre-printed delegate badge, (the AGM begins at 10am followed by the Workshop at 2pm) and lasts until approximately 5.30pm. The Day includes a couple of coffee breaks for networking opportunities and time for lunch. Day 2 sessions start at 9am last until 5.30pm — again with a couple of coffee breaks and time for lunch in between.
Annual General Meeting
All OARC Member formal business and updates will take place during the morning session on Day 1 — Saturday 15 October.
We have now received nominations for the three OARC Board seats open at this year’s AGM. There are eight candidates, including one existing Board member up for re-election. They are:
- David Lawrence (Akamai)
- George Michaelson (APNIC)
- Jacques Latour (CIRA)
- Ondřej Surý (CZ.NIC)
- Ralf Weber (Nominum)
- Sebastian Castro (NZRS)
- Daniel Karrenberg (RIPE NCC)
- John Dickinson (Sinodun)
Candidates’ Election Platforms are being published as and when they are received.
If you wish to participate in the AGM but cannot be there in person, we plan to webcast the proceedings, and proxy voting will be available if arranged prior to the meeting.
Please contact Sue on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions
about your membership status or voting rights.
We hope you’ll all be able to join us on 15 and 16 October, just before NANOG 68, at the Fairmont Dallas. However, registration is limited and seats are filling up, so if you haven’t already registered you should do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE via the Registration link on the OARC 25 website!
Registration is free for members, sponsors and speakers and only US$150 for non-members until 30 September, after which time an additional late registration fee applies to all.
If you haven’t found a hotel yet, you’re cutting it close. We still have a limited number of discounted rooms (US$249 + 15% tax per night, Standard Room) available at the workshop venue, however the discount is only available until 1 October. If you require accommodation, book now via the Accommodation link on the OARC 25 website.
A big thank you to ICANN, Verisign, Nominum, Salesforce and Network Utility Force for being our sponsors this time around. We are still offering sponsorship opportunities, so if your organisation is interested in sponsoring OARC 25, please email email@example.com
