Global Population Predicted to Reach Nearly 11 Billion by 2100

After reading this article, I came up with three questions and answered these myself.

1: How much do you think modern medicine has helped the population grown in the last century? Why?

The way I see it, modern medicine has helped so many people and the population grown in the twentieth century. For instance, Penicillin. It is the world-first antibiotic. Its development had great effect on the medical world. Putting it simply, advance in medical technology seem a wonderful thing. But strong virus being tolerant of former medicine creates new possibilities to break out. Then, as the progress in medicine, the average life span has rise. We should not just bury your head in the sand.

2: Is there something that you want to do after you retire? What is it?

Basically, I want to keep doing what I do now. These are writing articles, reading novels, making something, talking with somebody, etc. However I know it is not simplicity. As a matter of fact, there are some social problems for elder people in Japan such as dying alone and senile dementia. I know great quote by Henry Ford : “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”

3: Why do you think most families today prefer to have 1–2 children and not more?

I also do think so. In my opinion, 2–3 children is better. The best is just three that I suppose. Firstly, I have two sisters. Having multiple sibling is good thing to improve communicating skill, especially negotiating haha. My first sister prefer shopping and getting around. On the other hand, my second sister prefer eating tour and relaxing than them. Therefore, when we three people go out with, it happens discussion. My role is coordinator, normally. I know it is not easy to have many children in modern life. However having 2–3 children is good way.
