Being tired isn’t a badge of honor
Jason Fried

It wasn’t a badge for me. When I studied architecture at Illinois Tech, I was after one thing. Skills.

Then my health got real bad because I was acutely focused on building myself into a skillful machine. Think of a tall building in China being constructed, within 10 days by a bunch of chinese workers erect and finish construction.

That is something amazing. So to work on building myself up into a larger than life figure was an obsession of mine.

If I was focused on starting up a company with one of my brilliant ideas and been able to attract smart people to help me build, the latest chapters in my story would be less dramatic and more inspirational.

Well, if I only I had won that battle I played. I learned you may have to take some “L’s” in order to get the “W”.
