Entertaining read. But, as someone with degrees in alternative futures research and how systems evolve, not everything imaginable is possible. Rather, there are a finite number of high probability outcomes.
The one that is certain, as you note, is that machines will become another species. How that plays out for us not a good bet at this point.
As for the cyborg singularity, that is quite iffy — political turmoil over abortion, stem cells, genetic engineering, GMOs, athletic doping, etc. illustrate the problem. So, while medical aliments will advance, physical and cognitive enhancements will face significant political backlash, regardless of the merit of the enhancement and arguments.
On my Medium publication, A Passion to Evolve, you may find some articles of interest. In the context of your article here, you might be interested in brief one entitled, Only 6 Possible Outcomes in Next 20 Years [ — 4 are Bad — ]. If interested in a detailed, longish but readable big picture look at our future Macroscopic Evolutionary Paradigm.
If interest is post-scarcity, post-work world you might try Funny Thing about Money and Machines or Capitalism and Post-Capitalism — The Whole Truth & Nothing But
Most everything on my publication is about the future and ground in science not fantasy.
