Battle of the Techies — Who is worthy?
Interesting some folks are batting their eyelids about morality and the questions of social good here.
To some, acknowledging the success of a gossip blog is akin to celebrating yahoo boys.
I wouldn’t be surprised or disappointed if I found out those criticizing the this particular gossip blog have taken no real steps to improve the lot of the “unemployed and exploited” Nigerian youth.
I like people who speak less and do more.
I don’t like the idea of peddling gossip, but looking at what this one person has done with this I ask myself; where did she get the personnel to build this thing? Everyone is complaining of a dearth of technology talent and yet this has been done under our very noses.
Considering the number of people coming to CcHub weekly looking for developer X to build their dream product that will revolutionize the future of “Wakanda”.
I looked up the domain for lindaikejisocial.com and saw it was registered it on 29th April 2016 for the next 10 years.
Also, her developer happens to be someone called Afia Udofia. I respect this work done so far and I think they are going on well.
April 2016 to November 2016 is 6 months.
Some people have been developing on “localhost” for 6 years. I’ve done this once.
While some have successfully moved from localhost to DigitalOcean but are still in private demo (only for “select” “staff”).
There is no way you can win a race in which you are only a spectator.
Opportunities will be created by this and some people will see those opportunities and take them; some will criticize the whole ship and condemn it to hell.
Keep doing what you do, she don’t care. But what do you care?
