I agree with most of what you say, especially that Corbyn’s Labour party will never be voted in by the British people. But I still support him. The reason is this: the British people will never elect anyone that’s going to make a real positive difference in the way I want to see. The terms of debate in this country are too narrow. The press, the establishment won’t let it happen. I’ve given up on that idea.

So either we go for an electable Blair soundalike who does a few decent things like increase NHS funding etc but basically follows the same neoliberal path, or we have an unelectable socialist who brings socialism into the national discourse, widens the debate and says things that people don’t want to hear.

Neoliberalism is killing this country. Who cares whether it’s a red-in-tooth-and-claw Tory that does it or a red-flag-waving Labourite who does it? God help me if I have to hear another Labour leader go on Today trying not to say something the Mail won’t like.

As I say, I’ve given up. The boat’s going down. At least in Corbyn we’ve got someone who’ll punch and shout while it happens.
