With both sides too busy demonizing the other, how do we find a common ground? It feels like politics has become a competition to see who can be more legitimately outraged at the other side.

Salon telling me that Republicans are ignorant hatemongerers with barely-hidden racist beliefs, Breitbart telling me that Democrats are snake oil merchants that really want to take my guns and let terrorists into America.

How do we address each other’s grievances and become more united? How do we fix the polemic that’s being thrown around these days?
